Back on February 16th, NFL star wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was driving in a car that ended up crashing violently in Colorado. Witnesses at the scene said that Thomas was lucky to be alive. According to TMZ Sports, Thomas was driving 70 MPH in a 30 MPH zone and ended up injuring himself and two other passengers. In the aftermath of the crash, Thomas was arrested and charged with careless driving. Today, a report was released that notes that Thomas has pleaded guilty to the charge.

Thomas will not be facing any jail time for his crime, although he will be on probation for the next year and will have to complete 50 hours of community service. He also has fines and restitution to pay.

"It saddens me that I caused pain to those whom I love most," Thomas said in a statement regarding that crash. The free agent's representative released a separate statement with similar sentiments.

"Demaryius is extremely remorseful for exceeding the speed limit which led to the automobile accident in Denver, February 16th," the statement read. "Demaryius is taking full responsibilities for his actions and ensures that nothing like this will ever happen again!"
