Chadwick Boseman's new movie "21 Bridges" launches its official trailer.

STX Entertainment has officially released the trailer to the upcoming movie 21 Bridges. The film stars Mr. Wakanda Forever, the legendary Chadwick Boseman as its lead. Similarly, noteworthy performances can be expected from actors Keith David (Greenleaf), J.K Simmons (Whiplash) and Canadian actor Stephan James (If Beale Street Could Talk). The movie is Boseman's first non-Marvel collaboration with producers the Russo brothers

In the anticipated action-packed drama flick, Chadwick plays an NYPD detective placed at the forefront of a hunt for two individuals responsible for the death of several police officers. The pursuit proves to be a personal matter for Boseman's character, who harvested a personal disdain for cop killers after his own badge-wearing father was murdered by one. The trailer, lead by a rendition of Future's 2017 banger "Mask Off," teases the wronged detective's stringent demand to have all of New York City's 21 bridges closed off to support the chase.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chadwick Boseman spent several months shadowing both NYPD and LAPD police officers to rightfully sink into his role. He adds: "One of the things they talked about a lot was how the job affects them personally—how the job takes over their entire lives, and I think that's an element of this film that we try to stay true to."

The movie is set to release on July 12th, 2019.
