It's been four months since the world lost Kim Porter, and her family is continuing to honor her memory. The 47-year-old mother and entrepreneur unexpectedly passed away after suffering from a cardiac arrest, and for the first time publicly, her son Christian Combs spoke openly about her death. The 20-year-old son of Sean "Diddy" Combs and Porter sat down with Angie Martinez for a radio interview and revealed what happened the moment he found out his mother was gone.
"One thing I never really told anybody...right when I found out the news, I was shocked," he said. "I didn't know what to do. My whole world stopped. I was real down. As soon as I got in the car, 'cause I landed at the airport, as soon as I got in the car, my song 'Love You Better' came on the radio. I'm like, yo, I know that's her talking to me. Making sure I know everything's okay. That just made me feel like there's still faith. I just gotta keep pushing and that it's time."
"You got an angel forever," Martinez replied.
Diddy has shared his love for the mother of his children on social media, and during her funeral, the hip hop mogul delivered a moving eulogy. “I just want to say, to my kids — Justin, Christian, Delilah, Jessie, Chance, and the other man of the house, Quincy — your mother instilled in me this, that I pledge in front of everybody right now, that I will always be there for y’all," he said. "I will always take care of you. To the girls especially, we’re about to enter into some different type of times. I want y’all to be able to talk to me about everything, and I mean everything.”
