Ball to Chi-Town?

Back in February, the Lakers were trying everything in their power to acquire superstar Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Lonzo Ball was placed into several deals to gain the star, which allegedly shook things up in the Ball residence. At the time, the Ball crew had made it known that Lonzo would prefer Chicago over New Orleans if he was forced to leave Los Angeles.  This led to some behind the scenes talks between the Laker and Bulls' camps, according to Joe Cowley of Chicago Sun-Times.

"According to one NBA executive, the Bulls and Lakers had initial conversations about point guard Lonzo Ball shortly after Ball’s camp made it public that Chicago would be one of his desired destinations if the Lakers were to move him," he wrote. It appears that the Bulls have not lost their interest in young Ball either.  KC Johnson of the Chicago Tribune writes, "Ball intrigues the Bulls as a pass-first, defensive-minded point guard with positional size who can best maximize the talents of Lauri Markkanen, Zach LaVine, and Wendell Carter Jr."

The Lakers have the number four pick in the upcoming draft, while the Bulls have pick number seven. If a trade for Ball does happen, it looks like it will be centered around that number seven pick.
