Walton has been hit with a sexual assault lawsuit.

Luke Walton was recently hired as the head coach of the Sacramento Kings, just days after parting ways with the Los Angeles Lakers. Walton is now being accused of sexual assault in a new lawsuit which has been filed by former Spectrum SportsNet LA host Kelli Tennant. Yesterday, Tennant explained her alleged encounter with Walton which had her fearing he may rape her.

"When someone assaults you and you think you're going to be raped, coming forward is a scary thing," Tennant said according to ESPN. "And I have spent years now dealing with this, trying to forget about it, hoping that I could push it to the side and bury it and hoping that time would heal. And that was not the case. And I feel like over this time, I was able to muster up the courage and have enough conversations with [my attorney Garo Mardirossian] where I felt comfortable to talk about this."

In a report from The Athletic, it appears as though the Kings are unphased by these new reports and that both sides "moving forward with their working relationship." The report also states that the team will work with the NBA to get to the bottom of the allegations and will then make a final decision once the case has been resolved.

Stay tuned for updates on the Walton situation.
