Just a few weeks ago, Conor McGregor announced his retirement from the UFC which came as a bit of a shock to the fans who were hoping for another big fight from the former Irish champion. While Mcgregor's retirement probably won't last long, it's interesting to note that he's been involved in some exhibition boxing matches in Dublin, Ireland. One of those matches was last week against Irish fighter Michael McGrane who told TMZ that McGregor hit him with a cheap shot that ultimately gave him a gnarly black eye.
"It was as the cheapest shot I ever caught in me life, man," McGrane said. "You're meant to go back to your corner, but Conor never went back to his corner. Conor McGregor hit me a cheap shot in his own hometown. The ref was on his side. There's no way I would have won that fight unless I knocked him out."
The report stated that the fight actually ended in a draw. What's interesting about McGrane is that he's actually an electrician by trade and explained that he's looking to give up the profession so that he can pursue boxing full-time.
Needless to say, this isn't a very good look for Conor.
