Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were among the biggest names involved in the college admissions scandal that erupted earlier this month. Federal authorities revealed that there were many celebrities and wealthy figures that bought their kids way into some of the most elite schools in the country. Over the weekend, Dr. Dre revealed that his daughter got into USC "all on her own. However, it was revealed shortly after that he and Jimmy Iovine made a massive donation to the school a few years ago. Internet sleuths dug deeper into Dre's daughter Instagram which revealed that he too pushed his daughter to attend the school much like some of the other parents involved int he scandal.
Reports previously revealed that Lori Loughlin pushed her daughter to go to the school which appears to be a similar case with Dre and his daughter, Truly Young. Back in May, she shared a photo of herself, looking quite unimpressed, and her father, with the caption reading, "Dad pushing me to go to USC."
Dr. Dre has since taken down his original post on Instagram after it was reported that he and Jimmy Iovine donated $70M to the school to create and fund the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy for Arts, Technology and the Business of Innovation. The program focuses on entrepreneurship, computer science and engineering, audio and visual design, and the arts.
Despite the Instagram post, there hasn't been anything mentioned that she didn't get in on her own merits.
