James is doing a docuseries with Canelo as one of the subjects.

LeBron James is known for his extremely popular signature sneaker series with Nike. After 16 years in the NBA, LeBron is now onto the Nike LeBron 16 and recently, the "Martin" colorway was released to rave reviews. The shoe carries a 90s aesthetic that is supposed to be reminiscent of the sitcom of the same name. Recently, James gifted a pair of the shoes to boxer Canelo Alvarez who will be taking on Daniel Jacobs in a fight on May 4th.

In a video obtained by TMZ, James' right-hand man Maverick Carter went to Alvarez' training camp where he gave the pair of shoes to Canelo directly.

"You like sneakers?" Carter asked "These just came out. Very special."

Canelo seemed appreciative about the gift and told Carter to thank LeBron for the gesture.

LeBron and Carter are currently working on a docu-series for DAZN called "40 Days" which follows big name boxers as they prepare for some of the biggest prizefights of their life. The first episode will be centered around Canelo leading up to his fight against Jacobs and is premiering tonight.
