Now that an album release date and cover art has been revealed for TDE's rapper next-up, ScHoolboy Q, we are patiently playing the waiting game until February 25th.
The ante was upped last week when Groovy Q dropped an unexpected collaboration with Alchemist, "Break The Bank," but we're unsure if we'll get another leak in the month leading up to the drop date. Q discussed this, his cover artwork, and the recently released music video for "Man Of The Year" in a new interview with DJ Whoo Kid.
Q's last project, Habits & Contradictions, had dope black & white artwork, and the rapper continues the theme with the artwork for Oxymoron. Once again we see a ski-mask in the artwork, although this time it's being sported by Q, while the standard artwork features his daughter, Joy, wearing the rapper's same bucket hat.
ScHoolboy talks on the meaning behind the artwork with Whoo Kid saying, "The album [...] is all the bad I'm doing, to do good for my daughter. Whether I'm selling drugs or robbin', gang-banging or beating people. It's to do good by her. That's why you got me with ski mask, and in the standard, you got my daughter on there with the same hat. And she looks innocent, but the same time she's tryna mean-mug. She's on top of the throne."
