While the GOAT discourse is one of hip-hop's favorite topics, the rap game's healthy competition leads to spirited conversations, to say the least. Still, that hasn't stopped fans and artists from weighing in with their picks, with many favored names emerging as recurring staples. Pac, Big, Nas, Jay-Z, Eminem, Andre 3000, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and even "newer" artists like Kendrick Lamar are often cited, and it wouldn't be surprising to see any given rapper pay respects to any one of them. Today, 21 Savage has taken to Twitter to represent for his selection, pledging his allegiance to the ROC legend, Jay-Z.

Sharing a throwback picture of a young Hov, 21 let it be known as indisputable truth. "Greatest to ever do it not up for debate," he writes, with a challenging caption destined to trigger, well, debates. It's unclear whether 21 was on a Jigga binge and simply felt compelled to rep for the esteemed lyricist, or simply wanted to further evidence the "real recognize real" thesis. In any case, it's a strong position to take and one that I personally endorse, given everything Jay has contributed to the game.
Do you think 21 Savage is speaking facts? If Jay-Z isn't the GOAT, who then might hold the honor?
