Two teens laugh hysterically while holding a racist Promposal sign.

The entire concept of "Promposals" is strange enough but when you take a look at what this teenage couple did and actually showed off online, you'll be disgusted. Prom season is nearly here and for high school kids around the country, the biggest night of their academic careers is fast approaching. Before heading off to college, teens will be dressing up in their nicest suits and gowns to party together one last time. Anything can go down at prom but one thing is certain: there is no room for racism at all. One young couple took a picture in front of their homemade Promposal sign, which promotes racist rhetoric, and the internet is going crazy about it.

As reported by Complex, the sign was shared online by one of their fellow students who called them out for their blatant racism. "These two individuals attend my school and thought this was an appropriate promposal," said Ryan Pascal, a student at Palos Verdes High School. "I’m calling on my school to take action against this vile display of racism."

The sign in question is unmistakably racist. It even admits to that fact in its writing. With each letter of the N-word bolded to stand out on the white cardboard, it reads, "biaNa you are racIst. but I would Give anything for you to Go with mE to pRom." The principal of the high school has released a statement saying that there may be "severe consequences" for the two students in question. Since the post went viral, the two kids have reportedly been disciplined and Pascal, who posted the picture, says they deserve a second chance.
