We're only a month in 2019 and Soulja Boy is already proving that it's his year. Around this time last year, Soulja Boy's name was rarely brought up and if it was, it was used as a punchline to some sort of joke. However, he's back with a vengeance and making it clear that he's one of the forefathers of the Internet. After a highly productive month, Soulja Boy announced that he's signed a new deal.
Soulja Boy took to Instagram to reveal that he signed a new deal with Warner/Chapell Music, a music publishing part of Warner. The rapper shared a series of photos of himself at the Warner/Chappell office as he inked the deal.
"It’s official I’m now signed to Warner/Chappell I’m the hottest rapper in the game facts," he wrote. The photos show Soulja surrounded by people who appear to be executives while he signs off on the contract. There are also five bottles of champagne on the table, one of which gets popped open in celebration in one of the posts.
The announcement comes a few hours after he shared his new track and revealed that he had a new project on the way. The rapper dropped the video for "Intro" from his forthcoming album, How Could You Blame Me? which is set to drop on July 28th, 2019. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
