Will major labels become obsolete one day? Today we've received news of mainstream rapper and former major label artist, Game, choosing to go the indie route by inking a deal with distributor eOne for his forthcoming studio album (despite plenty of past rumors he was signing with Cash Money). He's just one of many artists opting to, either switch to independent, or stick with independent for the long run.
Game's sixth studio album will follow up Jesus Piece, which was Game's last major label release on Interscope. HipHopNMore reports that the new LP is titled BLOOD MONEY LA FAMILIA, and it'll be executive produced by Cash “Wack” Jones and Stat Quo. It already has a release date of September 16th.
You can expect two new singles, "Bigger Than Me" and "Or Nah" to drop within the month. Game made a brief remark on the LP, saying, "Blood Money La Familia will be another #1 album." We'll have to wait and see. Are you excited for this?
