Donald Trump has spoken.

Jussie Smollett is still recovering after getting attacked in Chicago when two men approached him hurling racial and homophobic slurs, leaving him soaked in bleach with a fractured rib and a noose around his neck. We've posted about the police updates and how they have gotten closer to locking down the suspects, and now the President of the United States has commented on the hate crime calling it "horrible."

Donald Trump spoke publically this morning from the Oval Office and was asked about the attack. "That I can tell you is horrible. I've seen it, last night," he said, as seen in the video below. "It doesn't get worse, as far as I'm concerned." Donald did not, however, comment on the fact that the two suspects yelled "MAGA country" at Jussie during their brutal attack.

Jussie is still set to appear at a previously booked event in Los Angeles on Saturday at the Troubadour.

His Empire castmate Terrence Howard spoke on behalf of the cast to Good Morning America, right after the attack happened. "Jussie's the one that starts singing when everybody's in a bad mood," Terrence said.

"He's the one that cheers everybody up. He's the one that does all the Instagrams if he catches you sleeping...Today, no one was caught sleeping. No one even took time to close their eyes and nap. They were all in shock that our family—you know, the Fox family, the Empire family, the Lyon family—you know, were attacked by a bunch of hyenas today."
