DJ Khaled's Father Of Asahd has been in the works for what feels like the gestation period of an actual child. Yet today, the affable mogul has officially unveiled a specific release date for his upcoming album: May 17th. While we have yet to receive an official single, Khaled has essentially lined up the entirety of April to dictate his rollout as he so chooses. And while the features have yet to be revealed, expect plenty of prominent names to roll through, given the expansive reach of his connections.

We've already seen Khaled label the album his "best one yet," which speaks to a more focused approach from the DJ. A while back, he released a trailer indicating his current mindset: "Anyone act up, I'll let it all go. I want to fu*k the game up!" Though we've all seen him slip into hyperbole, the idea that Khaled is putting his son's name on this one suggests an inherent sense of importance. Expect plenty of A-list collaborations, a few radio bangers, and plenty of joie-de-vivre.
