The Staffords had some good graces come their way this Easter.

A couple of weeks ago, we reported that Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's wife had been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. Kelly Stafford had taken to Instagram to explain the situation and that she would be undergoing surgery in order to remove it. Stafford's surgery was last Wednesday and on Easter Sunday, she posted on Instagram again to let everyone know that her surgery went well and that the tumor has now been removed. The neurosurgeon had even found an abnormal vein but knew what to do and was able to get the job done. The surgery took a total of 12 hours.

"This Easter is the beginning of a new life for me. I wanna take a second to thank all of you for all the prayers. They have worked. I know they have," Stafford wrote. "The prayers for my family, I’m beyond thankful for. A six hour surgery went to 12 hours and although they were anxious and scared, your prayers got them through. Thank you. Thank you so much. Now I am home and learning my new norm. It’ll take some time, but I really just wanted to say thank you. Thank you for all your support, thoughts and prayers. It means more than y’all will ever know."

Based on the post above, it seems as though Kelly is now at home relaxing while Matt helps take care of her while he's on break for the offseason. It's good to see that she's alright.
