Nike Adapt BB
Nike continues to be on that futuristic wave.

Back in February, Nike released the Nike Adapt BB to the world which was an update on their original self-lacing sneaker, the Nike HyperAdapt. Not only was the Adapt BB significantly cheaper, but it also comes with an app that allows you to adjust your shoes straight from your phone. Its a genius idea that consumers have enjoyed so far, even if there have been a few bugs here and there. Nike is still looking to perfect the technology and according to a new report, it looks as though the Beaverton brand wants to expand the reach of auto-lacing technology by bringing it to more models.

"Building off the successful adaptive basketball launch this quarter, we’ll expand the platform into new categories and embed the Adapt technology even further into our digital eco-system," Nike Mark Parker said in an earnings call, according to Sole Collector.

Parker didn't elaborate on which silhouettes would be getting the technology, but we can imagine it will most likely be coming to performance shoes, specifically those that fall under Nike Basketball. The auto-lacing technology poses an advantage for athletes who need adjustments on the fly.

So far NBA stars like Kyle Kuzma have been repping the Nike Adapt BB on the court.
