Morant is expected to go top 3 in this year's draft.

The first day of March Madness provided some incredible games and individual performances. Arguably the best individual performance of the day came from Murray State star Ja Morant who is expected to be one of the top draft picks in the NBA this year. Morant scored 17 points, 16 assists, and 11 assists in his team's upset of #5 Marquette. The finals score was 83-64 and was one of the biggest upsets of the day as a 12-seed defeated a #5. Morant's performance was the first time a player scored a triple-double in the NCAA tournament since 2012. The last player to do it was Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green when he played for Michigan State.

"It was a lot of fun," Morant said according to ESPN. "Just being able to go out with these guys and get a win in the NCAA tournament."

Morant has been putting up insane numbers all season for Murray State and has helped the team become a darkhorse in an already stacked tournament. The team will faceoff against the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday which will be one of their toughest tests of the season.

If Morant can match his performance from Thursday afternoon, the Racers have a real chance at being a contender in this tournament.
