Curry tosses oop to Stoneman Douglas student as Warriors host March For Our Lives group.

Ahead of Wednesday night's game between the Golden State Warriors and Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena, head coach Steve Kerr hosted a group of students from March For Our Lives, including several kids from Stoneman Douglas High School in nearby Parkland.

As part of the meet and greet with the Warriors, one student even got to catch a lob from Stephen Curry.

Speaking with the media prior to tonight's matchup, Kerr addressed the need for gun control.

“You try to put yourself in their shoes, you can’t imagine at any age, but to have to go through that at 14, 15, 16 years old,” Kerr said. “You imagine someone walking in right now and spraying us with a semi-automatic weapon, that’s horrifying. They had to go through that. So we have to decide as a country if we want to do anything about it, and the answer is pretty simple, in my mind. Yes, we want to do something about it.”

The Warriors (43-17) are currently sitting in first place in the Western Conference just a game up on the Denver Nuggets.

The Heat, meanwhile, head into tonight's game with a record of 26-33, having lost eight of their last 10. That said, Miami is just 1.5 games back of the eighth seeded Charlotte Hornets.
