New Thugger is coming soon

Young Thug delivered three projects last year but let's be real, none of them reached the standard that Thug's set on previous projects. Thankfully, it looks like Thugger will be releasing a new project this year. After announcing that he'd be releasing a new single on Friday, he took to Instagram to share some exciting news with his fans.

It looks like 2019 might be the year we get Young Thug's debut studio album. Although his discography is lengthy, the rapper hasn't released a studio album. The project's he's released have been considered "commercial mixtapes." However, he took to Instagram to announce that his album is coming soon, although he didn't reveal when we could expect it.

In addition to announcing the project, he also teased some new music featuring up-and-coming Compton star, Roddy Ricch. The preview featured production from Thugger's long-time collaborator, LondonOnDaTrack. Thug and Roddy Ricch are heard swapping bars back and forth on what sounds like the song's hook.

The album's announcement arrives less than a week after he and Birdman announced their YSL and Cash Money partnership. The music mogul and the ATLien have been working together for years so it doesn't come as too much of a surprise. However, we could expect future releases from the YSL camp to include a Cash Money stamp, including Thug's upcoming project.
