DeSean Jackson has made it clear that he's not a big fan of playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right now which makes sense considering the team has struggled to string together a winning season and make the playoffs these last few seasons. The wide receiver recently appeared on the Simms and Lefkoe Podcast alongside former teammate Michael Vick. Jackson was asked about the possibility of playing for the San Francisco 49ers when his contract expires after next season. Instead, Jackson said he wanted to play with one of this year's Super Bowl teams.
"I don't know about Frisco, man. State tax is crazy, man. That is home too though. I don't know. ... If anything, I would like to kind of end up in L.A., being a Ram," Jackson explained. "Sean McVay, you know, we got some connection from when I was in D.C., but we'll see how it plays out, man. Right now, I got another year in Tampa. So we'll see how it plays out, man."
Jackson continued by talking about his current situation and how he's representing himself right now when it comes to seeking out contracts and offers from other teams.
"I don't got an agent right now," Jackson said. "I'm bargaining right now. We might be able to talk behind closed doors. There's too many cameras around."
As per the NFL's tampering rules, the Rams wouldn't be allowed to reach out to Jackson until his contract is officially finished.
