Nike has been a dominant force in clothing and sportswear for years. Not only do they sell some fire sneakers, but they are also always at the forefront of clothing and sportswear, creating new designs that have made consumers coming back for more for years now. Now, in a report from Nice Kicks, an evaluation from Brand Finance is naming Nike as the most valuable company in the fashion and clothing world, putting its value at $32.4 billion. According to the firm, this is because Nike has done a good job marketing in a gender-neutral, inclusive way that has inspired people and made more groups feel connected to the brand.
“Nike’s bold marketing makes it stand out in a busy marketplace of sportswear apparel brands, in a time when customers look for experiences and emotional connection,” Richard Haigh, Managing director of Brand Finance explained to high Highsnobiety.
As Nice Kicks reported, Nike increased its evaluation by 16% compared to this time last year. Expansions into global markets such as China, Africa, and the Middle East are the primary reasons why profits have been able to increase at such a high clip.
Nike has also been progressive with their marketing as of late. In the Fall of last year, they launched their "Dream Crazy" campaign with Colin Kaepernick and most recently they dropped a "Dream Crazier" commercial which featured female athletes such as Serena Williams.
