Nas takes his curatorial duties in stride.

Nas has uploaded a new Spotify playlist he titles Last of the Real, a project commissioned by his business associates at Mass Appeal. It is essentially a curated playlist comprised of Nas' personal favourites - new and old, the likes of which include music by Pusha-T, Run The Jewelz, Busta Rhymes, Black Milk, Dave East, N.O.R.E, Snoop Dogg, Fashawn, Juicy J, Kanye West, Fabolous, Aloe Blacc, and of course himself.

But Last of the Real is much more than just a look into Nas' personal preferences; the playlist is also the first meaningful step for a bunch of lesser-known talents such like Cantrell and Mass Appeal's latest signee Stro. Mass Appeal's CEO Peter Bittenbender rose to prominence by aligning himself with the Queensbridge legend in 2014. Since re-launching the brand on slightly differentiated viewpoints, both Bittender and Nas have made it their goal to weave together a palpable account of hip-hop's rise, as both a commercially-viable trade and a labour of love.

Nas' re-investment into the culture he helped propagate more than 25 years ago, runs parallel with his numerous business dealings that fall outside its stated lines. Just last week, Nas and his Queensbridge Venture partnership sold their shares of Pluto TV, the leading streaming platform for simulcasted television content in the whole United States.
