Some would refer to Miley Cyrus' tactics pertaining to hip-hop and its surrounding culture as resourceful. She notices that people are gravitating to the genre so she's trying to integrate elements of it in her image. Her critics, however, would prefer to call her a straight-up culture vulture. This isn't the first time that the former Hannah Montana star has been accused of jacking hip-hop culture and using it to advance her own career. It likely won't be the last time either. Ebro Darden, one of the most well-known radio hosts in the country, has been vocal about people using the culture for their own advancement in the past and today, he's taking aim at Miley Cyrus for doing just that.
While Ebro doesn't have too much to say, he intends to laugh at (not with) Miley while she comes through dripping with her loads of jewelry. Ebro reminded everybody of how Miley once swore away from hip-hop, saying, "That's what pushed me out of the hip-hop scene a little. It was too much 'Lamborghini, got my Rolex, got a girl on my cock.' I am so not that." Those comments were made in 2017 and just two years later, Miley is already working on a hip-hop inspired album.
The original photo depicts Miley with jewelry all over her arms, with the singer adding a Cardi B quote: "came thru drippin'." Ebro was unimpressed. "GTFOH," he wrote next to a trio of laughing emojis.
Where do you stand on Miley Cyrus' use of the culture? Are you with or against her?
