Brown went straight from High School to the NBA.

When he's not being brought up in Stephen A. Smith rage compilations, Kwame Brown can be found running four companies and enjoying some success in Ice Cube's Big 3 league. TMZ Sports caught up with Brown and began to ask him about the NBA 1-and-done rule which forces players to play at least one year in college before being drafted to the NBA. The rule has been a large source of debate as of late thanks to Zion Williamson's freak injury that could have cost him his status as a first overall pick.

Brown was drafted with the first overall pick in 2001 and came into the league straight out of high school. With his experience in mind, Brown believes the NBA's rule is stupid and unfair.

"To tell a young man he can go shoot a gun but he can't go earn a living, that, to me, doesn't make any sense," Brown said. "Free enterprise. Go and get that money."

Despite being a first overall pick, Brown didn't exactly have the most fulfilling NBA career, although the 37-year-old explains that he has absolutely no regrets about not going to college. He says his life post-NBA has been more than enough.

"Factor out the numbers, I know economics," Brown explained. "I own four companies!"
