Fisher just got the Gunna cosign.

If you look at the tracklist to Gunna's new album Drip Or Drown 2, you will immediately notice that there are two songs named after former NBA players. One song is Yao Ming while the other is titled "Derek Fisher." The latter features frequent Gunna collaborator Lil Baby and has been shaping up to be one of the biggest bangers on the album. TMZ Sports actually got to catch up with Fisher and asked him what he thought about being given such a big shoutout on one of the biggest hip-hop releases of the year so far. Turns out Fisher is not just happy but winning cool points inside of his home.

"It makes me feel old," Fisher said. "I was old and not cool, and now I'm a little cooler."

Fisher hasn't actually listened to the song yet but considering his kids told him about the song, he's pretty happy about his newfound bit of relevancy. The song isn't really about Derek Fisher though. The song is really about guns but there is a Fisher metaphor in there with the line "shoot like Derek Fisher, ain't no n***a cross the line."

You can listen to the Gunna song below.
