Over the years, Spike Lee has become a staple of Madison Square Garden as he can always be seen in his courtside seats, yelling at opposing players and cheering on the New York Knicks, regardless of how good or bad they are. The Knicks have a lot at stake tonight as it is the NBA Draft Lottery, which will determine their placement in the draft. Of course, Zion Williamson is expected to go first overall and Knicks fans have been clamoring for the Duke star to join the team.
In order to gain favor with the so-called "basketball gods," Lee took to Instagram where he posted a lengthy soliloquy about his love for the Knicks and why he wants them to get that illustrious first overall pick.

It Is Time Once Again To Receive Youse Divine Touch To Our Orange And Blue Skies," Lee wrote, while explaining how he witnessed the Knicks championship in 1970. Dear Basketball Gods Please Take Your Faithful Out Of The Wilderness To The Heavenly Orange And Blue Skies. We Don’t Think That Is Too Much To Ask Considering We Haven’t Had A NBA Championship In 46 Years"
All that and the Knicks are probably still going to end up stuck with the fifth overall pick. It's a real, shame but such is life when your franchise has been subjected to bad luck for the last 46 years.
