Cousins isn't trying to step on anyone's shoes.

DeMarcus Cousins dropped a solid 24 points in the Golden State Warriors win against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. The team won by a score of 121-110 and once again, they showed why they are the league's best team. While Cousins had a great game, he was pretty upset at the end of the game thanks to a technical foul he received. No, Cousins didn't hit anyone or start a fight. Instead, he tossed Jeremy Lamb's shoe into the stands after it fell off mid-game. Surprisingly, the referee called a tech and Cousins was irate.

"Next time I'll just step on the shoe and roll my ankle, break it, tear an Achilles," Cousins said according to ESPN. "Just leave it out there next time. I guess that's what they want. I'll keep that in mind."

While he was upset about the tech, Cousins registered a season-high 31 points. Since returning from his injury, head coach Steve Kerr had been limiting his minutes. Overall, Cousins is glad he's getting more time on the court.

"I'm more happy about that than the actual game," Cousins said. "I made sure to give Steve a big hug after this."

The Golden State Warriors are first in the Western Conference with a record of 43-17.
