Back on October 22nd, former Denver Broncos back up quarterback Chad Kelly was involved in a bizarre incident after attending teammate Von Miller's Halloween Party. Dressed as Woody from Toy Story, Kelly left the party and stumbled his way into someone else's home. He sat on the couch next to a woman who was holding a child and was then chased out of the house by a man wielding a vacuum cleaner. According to TMZ Sports, Kelly was hit numerous times by the man and was then arrested on charges of felony criminal trespassing.
TMZ has now acquired surveillance footage of the incident, which shows Kelly being chased out of the home.
Last Wednesday, Kelly was able to make a deal with prosecutors. He ended up pleading guilty to 2nd-degree criminal trespassing which allowed his other charge to get dropped. Kelly won't be facing any jail time and will instead have to do 50 hours of community service, pay his legal fees and fines, while also undergoing a year of supervised probation.
In response to the arrest, the Broncos released the quarterback but explained that they want to help Kelly with his drinking.
"Even though Chad's no longer part of our team, we've offered to help him however we can and are supportive of him in every way possible," the team said in a statement.
