Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals goes down tonight at 9 P.M EST and will be a grudge match between the Golden State Warriors and the Portland Trail Blazers. The Warriors are the obvious favorites in the series despite having to start the series without the services of Kevin Durant. Perhaps the biggest story of the series though is the sibling rivalry of Seth and Steph Curry. Of course, Steph is the brother with three championships and a whole slew of accolades, while Seth is looking to beat his brother and secure his own spot in the finals.
Thanks to this matchup, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had some high praise for the Curry family and their status in the NBA.
"The Currys are unbelievable. They have been flying all over the place, seeing both kids play in the NBA playoffs and then seeing them play against each other. They are like the royal family of the NBA. It's incredible," Kerr explained according to Bleacher Report. Steph and Seth having all this success. As parents [Dell and Sonya], they must be having the time of their lives. Actually, I know they are because I've talked to them about it. What a beautiful scene. I'm sure it will be conflicting for them, these next couple weeks. What a great story."
It will be a tough task for the Trail Blazers moving forward but with Curry, Damian Lillard, and CJ McCollum at the helm, they are poised for an upset. Although the Warriors will be looking to make sure that doesn't happen.
