Anderson .Paak and J.Cole teamed up on "Oxnard."

At the tail end of 2018, Anderson .Paak released his long-awaited follow up to Malibu, Oxnard. The album was produced by Dr. Dre and had a ton of big features, including J. Cole on the song "Trippy." While both artists operate within hip-hop, they have very different styles, but their song together still seemed like a collaboration that just made sense. It's clear that both have a great working relationship and Anderson honored that yesterday by wishing J. Cole a happy birthday. Cole turned 34 years old on Monday and many artists, including .Paak, took to social media to wish him well on his born day.

"Always an honor to work with @realcoleworld, hbd bro 💥," Anderson wrote in his Instagram post. The picture takes place in the studio with both at the mixing board.

Considering these two worked together on "Oxnard," this picture was most likely taken a while ago, and isn't a hint that they're back in the studio together already.

Cole has been pretty busy as of late. Of course, the Dreamville rapper just released his new single "Middle Child" and has been teasing a new album for a while now in light of the recent Dreamville sessions.

Would you want to see another collaboration between Anderson .Paak and J. Cole?
