With countless gems strewn within his vast and varied catalog, Pusha T has long solidified himself among the game's most accomplished lyricists. His work with The Clipse helped put him on the map back in 2002, and last year's Daytona proved that he still had an album of the year contender in him, decades deep. Now, on the day of his forty-second birthday, King Push took a moment to reflect on his longstanding reign.

"You only win this long by playing in the shadows," he writes, keeping his reputation as a behind-the-scenes powerhouse strong. In keeping with the motif, the birthday boy's picture is deliberately cast in shadow, though one can make out the traces of a smile on his face. It would appear that Push is ringing in the occasion with a celebration at the Dhigali Maldives, away from the intricacies of the game. Lord knows he's earned it, after the year he had in 2018. And given the stride he appears to have hit, perhaps he and Kanye can once again team up to recapture the magic.
Happy birthday Pusha T!
