In an interview with HuffPost, Rick Ross addresses his beef with 50 Cent and discusses his "Mastermind" album.

Mastermind won't come out until the beginning of March, but Rozay has been campaigning hard for his upcoming effort. And it's paying off, as the excitement derived from the anticipation for this album has reached notable levels. Just a little while ago, Rick Ross debuted "War Ready" with Jeezy which came as the official peaceful resolution between the two feuding rappers. When talking in an interview to HuffPost, Rick Ross addressed another beef he had in the past.

That would be with 50 Cent, of course. Rick Ross opened up about his past feud with the mega-star, saying:

"At the end of the day, it’s all about chess, you know what I mean. When you don’t have nothing to lose, like I didn't at that point, it really ain't matter."

Of course, it is not as easy as it was back in '09, when the beef originated between the two, to meet the gaze of Rick Ross, as said:

"The position I'm in now, there's certain things you have to bring to the table to even catch my attention."

On the upcoming Mastermind album, Rick Ross sounds enthused. He says, "While in the studio, I approach the record with a writer's perspective. I first things I listen or hear first is the lyrics, the patterns, and then I go to the beat."

However, he brings up how Diddy influenced the sound of the record, saying, "whereas Puffy's, you know, the total opposite. When the record comes on he's listening to the snare, the kick, the high hat, so bringing those world's together makes for the best production."
