Bobby Shmurda will be out soon.

Ever since Bobby Shmurda was locked up and put in prison, fans of the "Hot N****" rapper have been patiently awaiting his release from jail. The way he emerged onto the scene was unlike anything hip-hop had seen in a while, and fans were excited to see Shmurda's potential manifest itself in his music. Unfortunately, his prison sentence put any musical aspirations on hold, although it is fair to say that the culture hasn't forgotten about him. Considering the music industry chews up and spits out artists so frequently, it's a testament to Bobby's music that people still care.

Just yesterday, we got an update on the rapper's condition, with his mother posting a family photo on Instagram, saying that Bobby was doing well and that he is eager to get back to creating.

"Great visit with my stinky.....the count down continues 22 months to go. Chewy is in great spirits he sends his Love and he can not wait to be back to work," she said.

The last time we heard Bobby on a song was at the tail end of last year when he laid down a jail phone verse on Tekashi 6ix9ine's hit record "STOOPID."

With 22 months to go before he is released, the next time we see Bobby Shmurda will probably be in 2020.
