We don't often hear news from J. Cole but with Revenge Of The Dreamers 3 inching closer to release, he's seemingly hopped out of the dark shadows he regularly hides in. Yesterday, the North Carolina rapper did a feature with GQ, speaking about how he plans to follow up "Middle Child," the upcoming Dreamville compilation project and his hard-earned reputation as one of the best in the business. Of course, he also spoke about the "platinum with no features" meme, threatening to add a feature onto his next album just to piss people off. Cole's stylist, if he has one, dresses him in ordinary outfits most of the time. His stage set is about as extreme as he'll get when it comes to costuming. Because we're so used to seeing him rock a t-shirt and some jeans, it came as a surprise to see the artist decked out in his designer threads for GQ.
Dreamville signee J.I.D joked that Cole had bared his ankles for the shoot, which was a pretty special moment. Cole himself then chimed in, noting that one of his boys, possibly J.I.D, said that he should always dress like he did for the magazine.
J. Cole announced the official line-up for his inaugural Dreamville Festival today, inviting along a slew of talent to complement his own team. Big Sean, SZA, and more will all be taking the stage.
