While the public discourse surrounding Chris Brown recently focused on the singer's comparison to Michael Jackson which led to many coining him the King of Pop of our era, it now recenters on Brown's legal troubles. Most recently, the artist underwent a home inspection which follows his involvement in both sexual assault and rape claims. Moreover, the "Undecided" vocalist was also tied to an alleged assault and battery case with his ex-manager, Mike G and the latter had him cough up just over a thousand dollars for failing to turn in evidence. Though no set decision has been made with regards to the sexual assault case, new updates by The Blast indicate Chris is looking to work things out with his former manager and come to a settlement.
Court documents obtained by the news outlet indicate the aforementioned trial was postponed to October 11. In the meantime, Chris and his former manager, Mike Guirguis, are reportedly hoping to work things out within the next couple of months to end their legal battle. To note, their legal issue stemmed from a 2016 lawsuit wherein Guirguis accused Brown of false imprisonment, assault, battery, defamation, and breach of contract. Precisely, Mike G claims Chris Brown attacked him in early 2016 to the point where he needed to be hospitalized.
