In her truest fashion, SZA stepped onto the red carpet at the Oscars on Sunday, glowing in beauty as she donned a strapless cream gown with a thigh-high slit, complementing it with an updo and minimal accessories. SZA was among those nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards for her Kendrick Lamar collaboration “All The Stars," pulled from the Black Panther soundtrack.

The 28-year-old singer’s presence was particularly one of note following the controversy surrounding the fact that she and Kendrick Lamar were the only nominees in the category who would not be performing their track live at the show. Previously, reports suggested that SZA and Kendrick would be one of only two performances that would take place, alongside Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s “Shallow” track from A Star Is Born.
Shortly after, the Oscars confirmed that SZA and Kendrick would not be performing after all. Among those who did take to the stage on Sunday were Gillian Welch and David Rowlings with “When a Cowboy Trades His Spurs for Wings” from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, Bette Midler and Marc Shaiman for "The Place Where Lost Things Go" from Mary Poppins Returns, Jennifer Hudson for “I’ll Fight” from RBG and Cooper & Gaga.
