The inconsistent narrative of Lil Uzi Vert's retirement comes to a head.

Make no mistake about it, like Elon Musk with his whimsical day trading, Lil Uzi Vert has every right to speak his thoughts aloud, even if it ends up disappointing his fans in the process.

In the last 24 hours, the ongoing debate over Lil Uzi Vert's "retirement" has taken a hasty turn. It all started when fans in Australia were left to ponder why his name had gone missing from 2019 Rolling Loud lineup for January 27th (today/yesterday). As reported, Lil Uzi Vert and Rolling Loud seemingly agreed to keep their own private accord. Rae Sremmurd were jettisoned in his time slot, so in the end, everything worked out, or did it?

But then several hours later, and do factor the overwhelming time difference, Lil Uzi Vert, never having made the trip to Australia, shows up at a Lil Baby concert with every intention of performing his breakout hit "XO Tour Llif3." Watch as Lil Baby motions to Lil Uzi Vert offstage who then slides into view with an interlocking handshake of an entrance. Cheap tricks like those don't come without practice, but that's hardly the point.

As the record shows, Lil Baby did, in fact, perform at the Fillmore in Philadelphia last night. The concert was promoted: Dope Shows Presents Lil Baby; Lil Uzi Vert's was not only unlisted but also negligible in the manner in which the prior cancelation unfolded on short notice. Uzi fans on Twitter have already begun declaring him "unretired," prompting him to make the very opposite claim in his Instagram story the next day (see above). Something's got to give, with all this talk of retirement falling into hearsay territory, the more we hear of it.
