2 Chainz was arrested at an L.A. airport last June when ingredients to make codeine-based drug concoction, 'lean' were found in his bag. The rapper has since copped a plea deal over the charges, but he'll have to lay off the syrup for a while.
According to Billboard, Tity was sentenced to an 18-Month Drug Diversion program this week. It's not clear how strict the testing will be (i.e. if it will pertain to alcohol as well as drugs), but we can assume purple drank will be off the table.
Cough syrup manufacturer Actavis recently took their Codeine-based medication off the shelves due to negative media attention. Which has left rappers like Soulja Boy in a bit of a panic.
