Kevin Feige has big plans for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

We're nearing the release of the highly anticipated film, Avengers: Endgame which hits theatres next Friday. The film has already broken records and is set to have a major opening weekend in the box office. Speaking to Variety, Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, recently revealed some of the bigger plans that he has up his sleeve following the release of the upcoming film.

Kevin Feige opened up about MCU's five-year plan following the upcoming Avengers film which will reportedly be the final farewell for characters like Chris Evans' Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man. With Disney+ streaming service readying its launch, Feige revealed that many of the spinoffs will "intersect with the movies in a very big way. It’s a totally new form of storytelling that we get to play with and explore.”

With new films set to launch as part of MCU's five-year plan, Feige revealed that there will be some new characters introduced while other familiar faces take on lead roles.

“Some of these films will feature characters that you already know,” Feige said. “Some supporting characters will assume leading roles, while some new characters will be introduced."

Avengers: Endgame will undoubtedly be one of the biggest -- if not the biggest -- films of 2019 and Feige believes that the upcoming flick will continue to keep fans wanting more.

“We always wanted there to be a definitive ending,” he says. “There’s an amazing line that Downey says in the film: ‘Part of the journey is the end.’ That’s what ‘Endgame’ is.”
