Saturday morning, 20-year-old JayDaYoungan was arrested on felony drug possession charges in Florida shortly before he was scheduled to appear at the 2019 Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
Currently, details surrounding the Louisiana rapper's arrest are not readily available. However, the emcee was arrested in Florida's Gadsen County and is currently being held without bail.
The arrest arrives in the midst of a fruitful and burgeoning career for the emcee, born Javorius Scott. Most recently, he teamed up with SADFACETHUGGIN for the duo's "Put One In The Air" collaboration. The rapper has managed to cultivate a buzzing, amassing comparisons to the likes of Boosie Badazz and NBA YoungBoy among those on the homefront.
Such unfortunate circumstances have not been confined to JayDaYoungan's case as Kodak Black was also recently subject to detainment at the hands of law enforcement just outside of Rolling Loud Saturday evening.
The Broward County native was allegedly booked on federal and state firearms charges and is currently being held in a Florida jail. It marks the second arrest of Kodak in the year. Just a few weeks ago he was arrested for weapons and drug charges at the United States border after authorities say he failed to declare marijuana and a Glock 9mm pistol when arriving at the United States-Canadian border.
