The Warriors were up by 31 points and still lost.

The Golden State Warriors became the butt of every joke on social media last night when the defending champions blew a 31-point lead against the Los Angeles Clippers and lost by a score of 135-131. With the win, the Clippers were able to tie up the series at one game apiece. Now, the series is heading back to Los Angeles and the underdogs will be looking to inch closer to an epic upset.

After the game, Warriors star Steph Curry spoke about the loss and how the team doesn't want to dwell on it as they move further into the week.

"If I had the answer for it, a night like tonight wouldn't happen," he told reporters according to Sporting News. "This game is tough, it's hard to win playoff games no matter what the matchup is, no matter what the history is, the regular season, team versus team. It's tough. For 6 1/2 quarters we played amazing, had a 31-point lead. The wheels fell off. I know we can get it back. We've got to put together 48 minutes of it, just a collective energy, positivity around everything we do. The locker room was down, as it should be, because every game matters to us. We've just got to bounce back."

Clearly, Curry knows there is a tough test ahead, especially with DeMarcus Cousins down for what appears to be the rest of the playoffs.
