Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Steph Curry and Dallas Mavericks lifer Dirk Nowitzki have reportedly been invited to compete in the 3-Point Contest during All Star Saturday night on February 16.
Both Curry and Nowitzki have participated in the 3-point contests five times during their careers, and both have won it once. Dirk in 2006 and Curry in 2015.
Nowitzki, 40, is a 38.2% three-point shooter for his career, which spans 21 seasons and counting. He has connected on just 26% of his three through 16 games this season, but everybody is hoping he'll commit to the 3-Point contest one last time in Charlotte.
Curry, on the other hand, is a career 43.7% shooter from beyond the arc, and is currently averaging 29.5 points per game for the first place Warriors. The six-time All Star last competed in the 2016 3-Point contest, where he lost to teammate Klay Thompson.
Last year, Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker outlasted the seven other competitors to win the 3-Point crown and one would assume that he'll have the option to defend his title in Charlotte next month.
