After missing the playoffs, the leadership abilities of Aaron Rodgers have been called into question by his former teammates. Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has been at the forefront of that criticism, saying that Rodgers has trust issues and isn't very good inside the locker room. Well, another former wide receiver, Jordy Nelson, is saying the opposite and rushed to Rodgers' defense.
"Everyone knows negativity sells," Nelson said told ESPN Wisconsin earlier this week. "People don't want to hear (the good). People feel better about themselves when they hear bad things about other people. And that's why that gets more pub.I mean, no one wants to hear that Aaron's not only obviously a great quarterback but a great leader and does everything right. All right, there's your story. What fun is that? So whenever they can, they go back to the well and get the same people to say the same stuff."

Nelson also pointed out that it's a vocal minority that is making these accusations against Rodgers and that he finds the claims pretty funny in retrospect.
"I think if you look, there's two guys -- now three -- saying it, compared to the hundreds that are saying the opposite," Nelson said. "It doesn't make sense. I think it's comical when I read those comments."
The Packers finished last season with a record of 6-9-1 and finished third in the NFC North.
