It's been an interesting last few days for Dennis Rodman. For decades the NBA Hall of Famer has captured attention due to his outlandish behavior, but these recent reports of theft are a tad bizarre. According to Newport Beach's VIBES Hot Yoga owner, Dennis Rodman and three of his friends visited the studio just days ago. While there, the owner claims that a woman that accompanied Rodman went throughout the store, taking items of clothing off of the racks before she stuffed them in her purse. The video showed that at one point she placed something in her bag while hiding behind Rodman.
There was also a moment when a $2,500 crystal was shattered after the man Rodman was with attempted to place it on a dolly. When it was destroyed, the group refused to pay for the item and employees say they left the establishment. Security footage captured the odd encounter, but things take an even stranger turn because now the owner says Rodman and Co. returned the following day and stole even more items. And yes, there's video footage of it all going down...again. The owner also claims that one of the women who came in with Rodman was there during the first visit and she returned to the store wearing an item she stole.
During this latest visit, TMZ reports that the employee of the store was off-put by Rodman's behavior, especially after he put his foot on the counter and began stretching. TMZ asked Rodman about what happened at the VIBES store, and the former NBA star claims that he asked the employees if he and his crew could take items as gifts from the store. He asserts that they were given permission to take what they wanted that he "didn't steal sh*t."
The owner vehemently denies those claims and says no one on staff ever told Rodman he could come in and take free clothing items, nor did they tell him he wasn't responsible for the cost of the broken crystal. Rodman nor his friends have been arrested, but the owner of VIBES has filed a report with the Newport Police Department. Rodman is currently on probation stemming from a 2018 DUI arrest.
