The legendary Samuel L. Jackson draws a line in the sand.

For a man with "L" factored so prominently in his name, Samuel L. Jackson takes very few of them. The acclaimed actor, who celebrated his seventieth birthday in December, continues to expand on his already vast cinematic repertoire. In the wake of a recent performance as a young Nick Fury, Jackson sat down for a candid and hilarious profile with Esquire, in which he reflects on his career, airs out Donald Trump, opens up about his craft, and speaks on Quentin Tarantino.

While some have criticized his open disrespect of Donald Trump, Samuel Jackson seems to give little in the way of fu*ks. "This motherfu*ker is like ruining the planet and all kinds of other crazy shit," says Jackson. "And the people think that’s okay. It’s not fu*king okay. And if you’re not saying anything, then you’re complicit. And I wouldn’t give a fu*k if I was a garbageman and I had a Twitter account; I’d tweet that shit out."

He continues, sharing a message to those threatening a boycott. "If you never went to another movie I did in my life, I’m not going to lose any money. I already cashed that check. Fu*k you. Burn up my videotapes. I don’t give a fu*k," says Jackson. "'You’re an actor. Stick to acting.' “No, motherfu*ker. I’m a human being that feels a certain way.” And some of this shit does affect me, because if we don’t have health care, shit, and my relatives get sick, they’re going to call my rich ass. I want them to have health care. I want them to be able to take care of themselves."

With much more material to comb through, the entire cover story is an extremely compelling brilliant profile into one of the greatest actors of our time. Check out the Carver Wallace penned interview here, via Esquire.
