Ebro
The Hot 97 host wants his credit.

Ebro, who famously hosts the morning show on Hot 97, while also having his own show on Apple Music's Beats 1, is known for being an opinionated guy. He isn't scared to share his views and sometimes it can get him in trouble. In that sense, he is very similar to Soulja Boy, who has become to the new king of trolling after his epic Tyga tirade where he disputed the rapper's title as having the best comeback of 2018. Tyga has also been taking credit for artists like Drake and Tekashi 6ix9ine, which has had social media debating Big Soulja's legacy as a pioneer in the rap game.

Now Ebro is trying to take a page out of that book, by claiming that he is responsible for all of the podcasts that exist in the hip-hop space right now.

"Since Soulja Boy is taking credit for everything... it’s my turn! I created HipHop Podcasts!!" Ebro said this morning.

He also took credit for introducing his co-host Peter Rosenberg to Cipha Sounds who eventually linked up to create the "Juan Epstein Podcast" which featured long-form interviews with artists and was also featured during the weekend on Hot 97. The podcast eventually inspired other podcasts like Adam 22's "No Jumper" interview series.

Does Ebro have a point? Is he the reason why hip-hop podcasts exist or is he bugging?
