The college admissions scandal has been one of the biggest news stories of the entire year so far. A large number of people have been involved in a nationwide scam, paying to have their children's academic records falsified in order to grant them entry to some of the most prestigious colleges in the country. Lori Loughlin's two daughters were admitted to USC but now that it's been revealed that she paid half a million dollars for them to attend, their standing at the school is up in the air. As you would expect, Saturday Night Live had something to add to the jumbled nonsense, making light of the crimes and writing a skit that shows Loughlin in jail with a bunch of other celebrities.
During the cold open this weekend, Loughlin, who was played by Kate McKinnon, joined Michael Avenatti (Pete Davidson) and Julian Assange (Michael Keaton) in a jail cell with a couple of other felons. After Kenan Thompson tried to convince everybody that he's the craziest dude in the joint, Loughlin spoke up. "Oh yeah, you think that’s insane? I paid $500 grand to get my daughter into USC," she said. "You think prison is hard? I have done 68 Hallmark movies. I have seen hell, man. And in half those Hallmark movies, I married Santa’s son. So I have lost all sense of reality."
Once Davidson and Keaton had portrayed their respective jailbirds, the camera moved to show a lonely Tekashi 6ix9ine dancing by himself in the corner of the cell. Poor guy.
