Is Chris Brown deserving of the"Price Of Pop" title?

Despite fielding the occasional public shaming, Chris Brown's talent has been largely celebrated by the hip-hop community and beyond. Though Justin "Bugatti" Biebs stands rap adjacent at most, his words still do carry a certain weight within the game. Biebervelli recently took to Instagram to celebrate Breezy's legacy, directly comparing Chris to the late King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson. "I’m calling it now when CB passes away after a long full life, you will miss what you had in front of you the whole time," wrote Bieber, bringing an oft-cited comparison into the public eye. The notion was more or less echoed by The Game, who bolstered Bieber's thesis with his own on-brand take: "As far as people not wanting to work with Chris Brown... "Fuck You!"

While Breezy offered Bieber some truly kind praise, the singer slash dancer slash actor took to Instagram to offer his own interpretation of the MJ parallel. For the most part, it seems as if Chris understands his position as the "Prince Of Pop," at least by the estimation of some. Sharing a piece of artwork, Breezy praised MJ's influence, explaining that he ultimately drew many lessons from Jackon's career. "Learn from the greatness in a person .then learn from the greatness in you!" he writes, as an animated Jackson prepares to pass the crown.

What do you think of the comparisons? Has Chris Brown earned the right to be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jackson, or is the coveted "Prince Of Pop" still ripe for the taking?
