Brutal loss for Indiana, as Oladipo ruled out for season.

The Indiana Pacers' fears were confirmed today as the team announced that All Star shooting guard Victor Oladipo suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee on Wednesday night, and will miss therefore miss the remainder of the season.

Oladipo sustained the devastating injury during the second quarter of Indiana's 110-106 victory over the Toronto Raptors last night and had to be stretchered off the court. He will undergo surgery at a date to be determined, according to the press release.

In 36 games this season, Oladipo led Indiana with 18.8 points per game to go along with 5.6 rebounds and 5.2 assists, while leading the Pacers to third place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 32-15.

"We've got to come together and play inspired basketball," Pacers center Myles Turner said after Wednesday's victory. "We can't let this get us stuck in the mud. It's emotional, but we have to overcome it and play."

Oladipo earned All Star honors for the first time last season, in his first year with the Pacers following the trade from Oklahoma City.

The Pacers will have a few night off to regroup before returning to the court in Memphis on Saturday night.

They'll return home for a matchup against the defending champs on Monday before embarking on a four-game road trip that includes stops in D.C., Orlando, Miami and New Orleans.
